Carrot Seed Saving

If stored correctly, carrot seeds can remain viable for up to 3 years.

I bet we get through thousands of the things over the course of a year — carrots are a homestead essential.

I didn’t consider us proper off-grid homesteaders until we produced our own milk.

Potatoes are the main staple of our homestead, and growing them makes me feel like a ‘proper’ farmer.

We grow an heirloom variety of both red and green cabbage: “Red Acre” and “Golden Acre”, respectively.
